Join us on our language adventures in French and Spanish!
Rola Languages is a Cambridge based company founded by Edward Rocha in 2010. What sets Rola apart from other language schools is that we seek to create a community that is internationally focused and multicultural.
The goal is to introduce material to jumpstart progress and create positive feelings around language-learning in order to encourage students to continue as they age and take on more aspects of the language, reaching towards fluency.
Our purpose is not to drill or test students until mastery, but to provide a fun and supportive environment to naturally stimulate their desire to learn and improve.
The Rola Method is a progressive teaching method that promotes fluency through repetition. It incorporates both traditional methods of teaching languages, as well as modern immersive styles of teaching. It is also flexible in nature.
Fluency, regardless of your level, must be practiced from the moment you begin a language. For kids, we focus on a variety of activities centered around learning vocabulary and slowly introduce them to reading through worksheets and short dialogues/stories.
OUR AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Material: We have developed 24 chapters of original materials.
Homework: Continued learning at home is essential for progress, so Rola has implemented a YouTube homework program. Every week we send a group of videos to students to practice the themes of the week and past weeks. Creating good habits and reinforcing the material learned in class is very important!
Communication: Rola will send out an email to all parents (parent emails required) on a weekly basis with homework reminders for the week. Rola prides itself on regular and consistent communication!
