                        to bring music to all.



Interested in a certain style of music? Rob’s Guitar School offers something for everyone! We teach blues, country, rock, jazz, acoustic ballads, you name it!

Jake Hallet is an instructor for Rob’s Guitar school in Groton. Jake has a Master Certificate from Berklee College of Music in Guitar and Songwriting. He has been playing guitar for over 15 years and has been teaching since 2020.

Aside from teaching, Jake is also an accomplished studio musician. He has done TV spots for Hammerhead Guitar Picks on VH1 and composition for multiple Indie video games by Smashplug Games.

Ukulele for Beginners

Course overview:In this small group class, taught by instructors from Rob’s Guitar School, students will get a fun and easy introduction to music on the ukulele. The ukulele is a versatile instrument and is easy to play. Over the course of eight weeks, students will learn a number of songs and strumming patterns and even learn to sing and play if they wish. Students will finish the class having a good foundation in chords and strumming. Going forward, they will have the ability to learn to play a basic version of many songs on their own.


All students must have their own ukulele.

All students will receive a student folder with initial teaching materials. Additional teaching materials will be added throughout the session.

Learn to play the Ukulele; it's a fun, happy, easy instrument to learn!

Guitar
This guitar course is designed to get students excited about playing guitar by serving as an introduction to the instruments.

Course Overview: In this fun class designed for guitar beginners taught by instructors from Rob’s Guitar School, students will learn all of the basics that they need to know to play the guitar.  Topics covered will include how to hold the guitar, tuning, strumming, learning easy common chords, singing and playing for those who want to sing and play, learning how to read chord charts and tablature and learning a basic scale or two for those who want to try their hands at solos.  Other topics will be covered as the class progresses.  This class is designed to teach students all they need to know to be able to play any basic song that they want.  Get ready to have fun!

All students must have their own guitar.
