TRAINING
SUMMER 2024
Located at the Peter Twomey Youth Center, the CIT program prepares teens entering 8th-9th grade to become future leaders by developing self-esteem, peer relations, interpersonal skills, and leadership techniques.
The CIT program will collaborate with the PTYC Summer Program. It will allow students to gain valuable experience and explore future career possibilities as they work with the campers and staff.
The PTYC Summer Program provides an array of activities, field trips, and creative learning opportunities in a supportive, warm, and relaxing environment. It is for Kindergarten- 6th grade students. For more information on the PTYC Summer Program click here.
Counselors In Training will observe and participate in trainings to learn and develop skills in activity planning, child development, effective leadership styles and more.
CITs will be given a chance to build community, share experiences, develop job skills, knowledge and experience.
Participants will receive First Aide/CPR training and certification.

Session 1: Monday-Friday, July 29-August 9
Session 2: Monday-Friday, August 12- August 23
Time: 9:00am-4:30pm
Cost: $295.00
The program is non-profit and self-supporting, sponsored by the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District.
