Beauty is in the eye of the ogre in Shrek The Musical JR., based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and fantastic Broadway musical. It's a "big bright beautiful world" as everyone's favorite ogre, Shrek, leads a cast of fairytale misfits on an adventure to rescue a princess and find true acceptance. Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, Shrek JR. is an irreverently fun show with a powerful message for the whole family.

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.




Shrek the Musical JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com




AUDITIONS:
All registered students will be able to participate.
September 9th (Last Name A-L) & 10th (Last Name M-Z)
2:30PM-4:00PM in the Performing Arts Center (Middle School South)

Prepare a song you are comfortable singing! There will be cold readings from the script.
 
Rehearsals begin September 12th.

PERFORMANCE DATES: November 22nd + 23rd


If your child is NOT REGISTERED & attends auditions OR your registration is not received you will be charged an additional $25 processing fee. If your child attends auditions, you have not registered, and then decides not to  participate you are still responsible for the fee and will be billed.  

No refunds will be given for withdrawal.
REGISTRATION Before September 9th - $120 (Cast)/$75 (Crew)
REGISTRATION September 9th and after -$140 (Cast)/ $95 (Crew)

Please note your registration is not complete until payment has been made. Registration and payment is required for all cast and crew.
